Enon Board of Zoning Appeals Meeting
This letter is to inform you of a scheduled meeting of the Enon Board of Zoning Appeals on Wednesday evening, August 1, 2018, at 6:00 P.M. at the Enon Government Center located at 363 East Main Street.
A letter has been submitted to the Board requesting a variance for a conditional use for property located at 425 E. Main Street, Enon, Ohio. The property is zoned Downtown District (DD) and is operating as a Conditional Use General Business District (B-3) Automobile Repair that is regulated by Enon Codified Ordinance 1149.03.
1. The applicant requests to tear down an existing 30’ X 40’ X 10’ garage on the east side of the existing building and build a new 30’ X 45’ X 16’ garage. The rear set-back currently is 6’ from the property line. The proposed new addition would have a rear set back of 23’3” from the property line. This requires approval of the Village’s Board of Zoning Appeals per Enon Codified Ordinance 1161.01. A rear yard adjacent to a Residential District must have a minimum of a twenty five feet rear set back.
2. This is also a Conditional Use that requires approval by the Board of Zoning Appeals.

Main Street Improvements
CLA ENON MAIN ST IMPROVEMENTS, PID 94791
The Village of Enon is proposing to update sidewalk and curb ramps along Main Street. The project is necessary in order to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards. Minor temporary and permanent right-of-way will be required at certain locations to allow for construction. The project is currently expected to begin in spring 2018.
We welcome Public questions and comments and any concerns will be addressed at the Council Meetings held the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month. Issues you may wish to comment on include, but are not limited to, the effect of the project on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources.
Please be aware that, at this stage in project development, it will not be possible to provide you with specifics regarding potential real estate acquisition.
